Ryan Ferguson spent 10 years in prison for a murder that he did not commit. During that time he devoted himself to becoming Stronger, Faster, Smarter and even wrote a book by the same name. He is the focus of the recently released Dream/Killer documentary, which details his case. In addition to that, now as a vindicated and free man he spends much of his time talking about gaps in the justice system that cause wrongful convictions and what really happens in the fallout of overturned convictions.
In this podcast we discuss gaps in the legal system, what steps can be made to improve the system, how wrongful convictions re-victimize families and how he handled his time in prison. We also discuss the new focus being brought to wrongful convictions be the Steven Avery case from the Making a Murderer docuseries.
